Topic: Anti-Smoking and how it affects your lifespan.
Issue: Smoking causes your expected lifespan to decrease, thus, living to a lesser age.
Angle: To adults who smoke.
Story: My idea shows how smoking affects your life as a metaphor. The cigarette itself represents your life/lifespan. By smoking, you really are burning your life away because as you smoke, the cigarette decreases in size which represents your lifespan decreasing too. In addition, when you're done, all you're left with is the 'butt' of the cigarette which ends up being thrown away, and represents your life being thrown away because of smoking. I plan to use this idea by using voice overs to explain the metaphor.
Message: Don't throw your life away. Choose not to smoke.
Topic: Anti-Texting and Driving
Issue: The use of phones while driving is a major distraction from the road, and is a cause of many accidents.
Angle: To adult drivers.
Story: Someone is driving their car when they hear a sound; a text notification. Then a [voice-over] voice in their head is contemplating whether or not to look at the text. Then the driver finally decides to look at it because "it'll only take a second". The text was from a caller i.d. named "Destruction" and the message says "Bad Choice. Was this text really worth it?". Then there is audio of someone saying "Look Out!" then the steering wheel viciously turns, with nat sounds of crashing, showing that the person got into an accident.
Message: It only takes one second. Don't text and drive.
