Hey Everyone! Today was a very exciting and fun day. I got up at 6:30, and we all met downstairs at 8. We all ate breakfast at Starbucks in the hotel across from us, and I ate a fruit cup. We then walked to Universal Studios and we were one of the first people there! The first ride we rode was the Transformers 4-D attraction. It was a simulator and it was also pretty cool since it was in 4-D! It really felt like I was experiencing it right there. Then we went onto the Mummy. This roller coaster was probably my favorite here. There were drops, sudden turns, and it was in the dark! It was a thrilling experience and I ended up going on it twice! However, on the second time we rode the Mummy, the ride got stuck, twice. Once was during the bug moment, where they put pretend bugs on your feet. The other time we got stuck was just in darkness. After the Mummy we went onto the Jurassic Park River Adventure. This was also fun and I really liked the big drop at the end. I sat near the front and the edge so I got pretty wet. We went onto other simulators such as the Despicable Me Minions and Shrek. The Despicable Me Minions ride was fun because it was very action packed. Shrek was like a show, and it had unique things where it would mimic the feeling of spiders on your feet. I didn't go onto the Simpsons Simulator, since last year I didn't like it. Instead, I hung out and played games with Kolten, Taylynn, Angeline, Brandon, and Kaycee who joined us later. I also got to eat dippin' dots which was great since we don't have them on Kauai. There was this cool place we went to named WaterWorld. It was this show performed by actor stunt doubles. There was lots of fire, water (although we did not get soaked), and weapons. Surprisingly, they had good dialogue despite all the action noise from the guns and fire. For lunch I ate at a restaurant named "Luigis" where I had pizza, cheese breadsticks, a fruit cup, and a drink. We also took a really interesting behind the scenes tram tour. We saw a bunch of different stages, and even some crews filming! The stages were actual places where a bunch of well known tv shows and movies were filmed, like, Fast and Furious 7, Jaws, CSI, Bones, Jimmy Fallon's The Tonight Show, Parks and Recreation, and many more! I think this was very intriguing. They made the tour creative too! I learned how they created rain, floods, and even a train breaking down because they showed us right there! After re-riding rides like the Jurassic Park River Adventure for a total of 3 times, we left the park at around 8:30. We walked from Universal to City Walk, which was surprisingly nearby. I ate pizza, again, for dinner, but this time from Pizza Hut. Then we walked around downstairs looking for some shops. We actually saw two actors from the show "Nicky, Ricky, Dicky, and Dawn" from Nickelodeon. I personally didn't watch that show, but I still thought it was pretty cool seeing them there! Speaking of seeing people at City Walk, we actually bumped into some of our pen pals from CMStv in Castaic! Our pen pal exchange moved to Tuesday, but we'll still see them again on Wednesday at the Spaghetti Factory. At City Walk I bought a few souvenirs until it was time to go. We walked back to the hotel and now we are just finishing up blogs. Today is our last day in Hollywood since tomorrow we are on the road heading to San Diego! Los Angeles has been great, but I can't wait for San Diego! Today was really fun, so Thank you again Mr. M, the chaperones, and just everyone who made this possible! Also, thank you for reading, and that's about it for today's blog! I'll keep you posted all throughout this STN 2015 trip! Bye!
