CKTV Kokee Camp!

Hey Everyone! As you probably know, this weekend the whole class is going to Kokee for a CKTV Camp! I can already tell it's going to be pretty fun, and I'm super excited for it! Mr. M said we will be doing some media training like showing how to conduct an interview and the process of doing Inside Scoop Radios. I think this is a good idea because it'll help me teach my partner about it, and it'll also be a good refresher! Besides training, this camp will give us a great opportunity for the whole class to get to know each other and bond more before the trip. After all, the theme is "Ohana Means Family". So for this weeks constructed response, I will be writing about three ways that I will do to make this camp a successful! Three ways I can do that is by hanging out with different people, helping others, and being safe and making it a fun event for all.
The first way I can make this a successful camp is by hanging out with different people. One of the main reasons of this camp is for bonding. Currently, we are still in our little groups of friends that we usually hang out with and sit by in class. After the STN trip, however, all of those groups have been broken and it's just one big group because we have all gotten closer to one another. This year we have had many bonding activities, and hopefully more to come. This upcoming camp at Kokee is, as I said, a great bonding opportunity to get to know everyone. I'm pretty close with a lot of people in the class already, being that I've known them for quite some time, but I'm pretty excited to get to know all the new students better! In class, Mr. M talked about hiking, kickball, prison ball, and other types of activities that will seems really fun to do with other people. We also have to do the daily theme cards which if you went to STN last year, you should remember. These will force us to pay attention to everyone, because you never know who you're going to get. By hanging out with different people that I don't normally spend time with I can know them better.
The second way I can make this a successful camp is by helping others. We all need to help out and do our share or else this camp will not go smoothly. This means cooperating with one another and offering assistance in prepping or anything that needs to be done. However, I also mean helping during our media training. I've gotten the great opportunity to be in this class for 2 years, making this year my 3rd, so I'm experienced in the things we usually do, like radios and interviews. In class Mr. M mentioned that some of our media training would consist of creating radio scripts, and doing interviews, so I can try to help anyone that's confused or doesn't know what to do. I can make this a successful camp by helping others in media training and in offering my assistance.
The third way I can make this a successful camp is by being safe and making it a fun event for all. While we all want this camp to be enjoyable, it is important that we all be safe. During our hikes it wouldn't be smart or safe to mess about because someone could get badly injured, and that sort of ruins the whole fun in it. Another way is by making it a fun event for all. When I say that, I mean keeping this camp a drama-free event, and with a positive attitude. This camp is supposed to bring us together, so keeping any drama out of it will ensure it. As the quote goes, "A negative mind will never give you a positive life." If you come into the camp with a bad, pessimistic attitude, you won't have a great experience. So why not instead come excited, and positive? The third way I can help make this a successful camp is by staying safe and making it a fun event for all.
In conclusion, we can all come together to help make this a successful camp. Three ways I can help is by hanging out with different people, helping others, and being safe and making it a fun event for all. I'm super excited for this weekend, and I hope you are too! That is it for this week's constructed response! Thanks for reading! Bye!
