Hey Everyone! For those of you who went to STN, you may remember a certain video showed at the Film Excellence Showcase. No, I am not talking about David, from"Go To The Ball With Me, Jenny", but I am talking about "Blaire In The Pines". Blaire in the Pines, created b Whitney High School, won best cinematography, and from seeing their video, they certainly deserved it! From a technical view, the video was absolutely stunning! There shots were in focus and compressed, with beautiful bokeh in the background. I especially loved the setting and the scenery too. The audio was great. I liked that they included overpowering piano keys that repeated over and over, because it actually fitted the mood and atmosphere. Even though we heard the piano for the most part, it had good, clear dialogue audio. You can even hear the NAT sounds, like the creaking of the ladder, or the friction of the box moving. What I really liked best was their acting. They were such great actresses! It was as if they were actually close sisters in real life. Their laughs sounded authentic, and the teary eyes made you feel teary too. From a technical stand point, the video is great. For the idea, even better. The idea revealed and unraveled itself in a mysterious and surprising way; which made the audience sad when they found out what really happened to one of the main characters. I in fact, was very sad myself. They structured the video so greatly that it was made to touch the viewers in such a impacting way. No words can describe how much I loved this video. Please do watch it for yourself below, to get a sense of what I think. Well, that's it for my blog! Thanks for reading! Go watch the video! Bye!
