So tonight is the Academy Awards, aka the Oscars, and this year, hosted by Ellen Degeneres. The Oscars is an awards ceremony in the film and video category. They give out Oscars to this winners of different categories. Here are some of them; Best Picture, Best Actress, Best Supporting Actor, Best Supporting Actress, Best Director, Best Origjnal Screenplay, Best Adapted Screenplay, Best Film Editing, Best Animated Feature Film, Best Animated Short Film, Best Live Action Short Film, Best Art Direction, Best Cinematography, Best Costume Design, Best Feature Documentary, Best Short Documentary, Best Sound Editing, Best Sound Mixing, Best Foreign Language Film, Best Makeup, Best Original Score, Best Otiginal Song, and Best Visual Effects. As you can see, this relates to the Media Productions class a lot. You never know, in a few years we may see some of our classmates on television accepting their Oscar! I believe that everyone in this class has potential to do so. Age doesn't matter in the oscars. Did you know that the youngest person to ever receive an oscar was 10-year-old Tatum O'Neil for Best Supporting Actress. The oldest person to receive an Oscar was 82 year old Christopher Plummer. The youngest person to win Best Director is Noram Taurog when he was 32 years old! Anyways, the oscars are tonight so make sure you tune in and see if your favorite movie or Director wins!
